A
Crunchy Ride on ERTS
Oct 20 2020
Well over
20,000 have already tried out the Elk River Trail System,
"ERTS" during the first five months of being open. For those
that came during the warm weather months, you are missing
something special right now. Peak Fall Foliage came Oct 17th
for County Clay. As of this writing, Oct 20th, colors are
still vivid.
Along the way, someone has already set up a make shift picnic
area along ERTS and the Elk River
Even the wheels of a bike stir up the drying leaves.
Everything is crunchy this time of year.
New Cairns are stacking up along the way.
Newt Bragg's home in Dundon is still there but....
maybe not for long
These last three shots are from the Buffalo Creek section of
ERTS. This 19 mile trail will include a walking, biking,
horseback riding trail right beside the RR tracks which will
remain in place and upgraded.
