Elk River Trail System (ERTS) is open for business and lookin good in Spring 2021. Throughout the trail, patches of color are everywhere. It's a great time to go alone or take the family for a hike, biking, and horse bike riding on the gentle 32 mile path.
Winter treated ERTS
very well. We have seen no major tree falls or wash outs. The
exception to the adventure is between Dundon down to Hartland
(down river) where concrete barriers have all but blocked off
the trail. The idea was to stop ATV's from tearing up the
place.
Those barriers did that but for sure, they also closed down the fun for anyone on horse back, pushing a baby stroller, or horse drawn conveyance. Very sad.

ERTS.
For about 95%
of ERTS, the mighty Elk River is along side and visible. It is
beautiful especially in the Spring.
